RSMSSB Patwari is a state-level recruitment conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB, formerly RSMSSB) to fill the post of Patwari (Revenue Officer) across all districts of Rajasthan. A Patwari is a frontline government officer posted at the village or gram panchayat level, responsible for maintaining land records, issuing certificates, and supporting the revenue administration of the state.
The exam is conducted irregularly — approximately every 2–3 years — and draws lakhs of candidates for a few thousand posts — about 6.76 lakh appeared in August 2025 — making it one of the most competitive state government exams in Rajasthan. 3Eligibility Criteria
- ✓Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, AND
- ✓Valid CET (Graduate Level) scorecard from RSSB (mandatory since 2025), AND
- ✓O Level Certificate from NIELIT (DOEACC), OR
- ✓RS-CIT Certificate from VMOU, Kota, OR
- ✓COPA / DPCS Certificate from National/State Council of Vocational Training, OR
- ✓Degree/Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized board or university

⚠️ For the 2025 cycle, age was calculated as on 1 January 2026. OBC/MBC creamy-layer candidates are treated as General. An additional 3-year relaxation may apply if the exam was not held in the previous 3 years.

Note: Rajasthan revised its DA to 60% from 1 January 2026 (Finance Department order of 23 April 2026). Actual in-hand pay depends on HRA for the place of posting and on deductions. The 8th Central Pay Commission was constituted in November 2025 with its report expected around mid-2027 — it is NOT implemented, and any Rajasthan revision would need a separate state decision.

Verify Your Eligibility

Reasoning: 1 hour daily — focus on series, coding-decoding, blood relations, analogies. Numerical: 1 hour daily — arithmetic (%, profit/loss, SI/CI, ratio, time-work). Use R.S. Aggarwal for both. Aim for 80–90% accuracy in these sections — they are the scoring difference-makers.
Computer Knowledge can be mastered in 7–10 days with focused study. Cover MS Office, internet basics, hardware/software fundamentals, and e-Mitra (Rajasthan’s e-governance platform). Attempt 20–30 computer MCQs daily. Do not skip e-governance — it frequently appears in state-level exams.
Hindi needs consistent daily practice, not cramming. 30–45 minutes daily on Shudh Vartani, Vilom, Paryayvachi, and Muhavare. Attempt 20 Hindi MCQs per day from previous papers. Practice Vakya Shuddhi carefully — errors are common in MCQs even for fluent Hindi speakers.

13Expert Tips to Crack RSMSSB Patwari
Reasoning and Maths is the biggest block — 45 questions (90 marks), more than Rajasthan GK (30 questions, 60 marks). Practise it daily, but do not neglect Rajasthan History, Geography, Art & Culture: read a dedicated Rajasthan GK book cover-to-cover at least twice.
Read Rajasthan Patrika headlines daily for 15 minutes. RSMSSB frequently draws current affairs questions directly from state government announcements, appointments, and schemes. This one habit can earn you 5–10 extra marks.
Negative marking is real — 1/3 marks deducted per wrong answer. Each question now has 5 options (A–E), making elimination harder. Do not attempt questions you are unsure about. In Rajasthan GK, skip if you cannot eliminate at least 2–3 options.
Computer Knowledge is a section most aspirants ignore — and it shows in cut-offs. Cover MS Office, internet basics, e-Mitra, and DigiLocker in just 7–10 days. These 15 questions (30 marks) are relatively easy and can be the difference between selection and rejection.
Hindi section’s Shudh Vartani (correct spelling) questions are tricky even for native speakers. Keep a personal list of commonly misspelled Hindi words and revise it daily. Practice 20 MCQs daily from previous papers — pattern recognition matters more than grammar theory here.
