12Expert Tips to Crack SSC JHT

1
Translate Daily — No Exceptions
Translation is a skill built through daily practice, not theory alone. Commit to one English→Hindi and one Hindi→English passage every day. Focus on natural expression over word-for-word accuracy.
2
Master Rajbhasha Terminology
Paper I often includes MCQs on official Hindi (राजभाषा) terminology and policy. Study the Official Language Act 1963 and know key administrative terms from the CSTT Shabdkosh — this is an area other candidates ignore.
3
Don't Neglect English in Paper I
General English carries 100 marks in Paper I — equal weight to Hindi. Many aspirants under-prepare English. Strong English comprehension and grammar directly improves your translation quality in Paper II too.
4
Aim 140+ in Paper I to Clear Cut-offs
The General category cut-off was 150.75 out of 200 in 2024 — highly competitive. Target 140–150 in mock tests before the exam. Accuracy matters more than speed due to 0.25 negative marking.
5
Use the Correction Window Wisely
The 2026 correction window was May 19–20. For future cycles, always re-verify your application before the window closes — errors in category, DOB or qualification can disqualify you at document verification stage.
